Ellen Newbauer

  Now based in Saint Petersburg, FL, Ellen Newbauer’s love of woodworking and art started while growing up in Montana. Her love of black and white photography led her to pointillism art and creating her own frames. In the late 90’s she opened her first business, Framed by LN selling her handcrafted frames. While she still creates custom frames, her art has grown to include end tables with intricate scrollwork to elegant Art Nouveau styled desks, and handcrafted electric guitars. Her ability to transform a raw form into an object of beauty is reflected by her intimate relationship between wood and fine art. Ellen’s passion and love for woodworking can be felt in each unique piece she creates. She loves working with hand tools as it allows her to focus on each shape and detail. She has been hand crafting electric guitars for a short time but finds herself thinking and designing all the time.
