Titanium Ocean Wave Ring with Crushed Opal & Blue Mica-Size 7.5- Handmade

$155.00

This ring started as an empty channel.

Ocean waves carved into titanium — one of the strongest and lightest metals on earth. The kind of ring that looks like it should be heavy and feels like almost nothing on your finger.

The channel was waiting to be filled.

I filled it with the ocean.

Deep blue metallic mica powder went in first — so the ocean would glow from within. Then Tiffany blue crushed opal, number 73. Soft. Clear. Like shallow water with light coming through from above. Then ocean blue crushed opal, number 14 — blues and purples and deep blues. Every color the ocean has ever been.

Layer after layer. Sealed with super glue. Sanded smooth. Polished through four stages of Micro Magic polish and finished with a scratch resistant wax until it catches the light every time you move your hand.

Pick it up and it surprises you. Because titanium looks heavy. And it is almost nothing in your hand.

The things that look the hardest to carry sometimes carry the least weight.

This ring is a size seven and a half. The satin titanium body is smooth and polished where the waves sit on top. The opal channel glows beneath them — iridescent, shifting, different every time the light changes.

No matter how many of these rings I make — this one will never exist again. The exact swirl of opal. The exact blend of blues and purples. The exact way the mica glows underneath.

One of a kind. Always.
