Carole Hans

Carole Hans

Originally from Akron, OH, Carole Hans resides in Macon, NC with her husband Tom. Carole has always admired watercolor paintings, and started taking lessons at the local art institute in 1992. Since then Carole has taken private lessons from several different teachers. The best thing she learned from her first watercolor teacher Cindy Croley, was to learn to see. Carole maintains folders of things she finds inspirational. Observation inspires motivates and plants seeds of what she might create. While Carole admires realistic representations of nature, people, and architecture, her passion lies in attempting to relay an emotional response to the subject.  Carole has great admiration for the loosest interpretation of subject matter, which in her opinion brings the viewer into the artists world where there can be a sharing of the beauty in everything. She also makes custom orders and travel journals, filled with pockets and envelopes for collecting ephemera while traveling.
